Well-being

Welcome to our third week of school! Our theme for this year is We Must Be Heroes! What are the character traits of a hero? What are my own character traits?Describing ourselves as heroes is helping us to have a better perspective about ourselves as well as helping us in our writing skills!

Our Transdisciplinary theme “Who We Are” is guiding us to inquire about our physical, emotional and intellectual well-being! Identifying and classifying the different activities that we do in our daily routine is helping us understand these three different aspects of our being…

We are very excited to incorporate yoga as a weekly practice. Working on balancing our bodies and emotions is a key element for a balanced lifestyle!

During our literacy time we are learning how to organize our thought and ideas. Planning is essential to a good structure of our writing process. Transitional words and phrases help us to connect our ideas to share our wonderful stories…

We love our Math classes, sharing this experience with Mr. Zakumba and Ms. Cecilia is a great way to enjoy our transdisciplinary journey…

Playing game to demonstrate our learning…

As fifth graders it is important to keep building community, we love our appreciation time on Fridays’ class meetings where we have the opportunity to recognize and appreciate a friend in our community!

Our PYP sharing asssembly was great, thank you for all our friends that shared with us!

Our time with our learning buddies from Grade 2 is always fun and productive! We learn how to write recipes and we get to enjoy  as well! This week we learned how to make Hummus with veggies and we love the hummus with some carrots and cucumber!!!
